Lessons
ISR Self-Rescue lessons are for children 6 months to 6 years with all one-on-one instruction. Lessons are conducted 5 days a week (Monday through Friday), at a maximum of 10 minutes daily, for approximately 6-8 weeks.
Each child has their own lesson time daily.
Skill Sets
Rollback-to-Float
Infants to Early Walkers
The rollback-to-float program teaches your baby to independently turn onto their back if they are ever face down in the water. This allows them to safely breathe, rest, and float until help arrives.
Swim-Float-Swim
Solid Walkers
The swim-float-swim program teaches your child to swim underwater until they need to breathe, roll to their back for a few breaths until rested, then swim, starting the sequence again until they reach the pool steps, side of the pool, or the shoreline.
Refreshers and Maintenance Lessons
Returning ISR Students
Stay current with ISR skills through regular maintenance lessons and refresher courses. Monthly or weekly single sessions maintain skills, while two-week refreshers every 3-6 months adapt techniques to your growing child's needs.
Stroke Lessons
Returning ISR Students with requirements
Once they have completed the 12-yard swim-float-swim sequence, students can begin learning to swim freestyle, backstroke, fly, and breaststroke.
